THE PLOT:
A farm is conducting experiments on sheep and when a veggiterrorist steals one of the embryos destined for the dump, which
escapes and infects the other sheep. Now slowly the once helpless sheep are turning into meat eating monsters and anyone
who is bitten by the sheep and lives becomes a sheep themselves.
The ironic part is the owner's brother has come to settle up for his part of the farm because he has a fear of sheep due
to a mean prank by his brother freaked him out when they were kids.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is one unique movie, for whenever animals mutate or are transformed into monsters it's always some form of predator.
But this movie shows that something may not be as gentle as a lamb. The effects are incredible, the story has a dark sense
of humor. The characters work and this has got to be the best horror comedy to come out of New Zealand since DEAD ALIVE.
9 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
This is a very cool and unique movie, strange and twisted. But there are certain scenes I really wish they didn't put in,
I won't go into details but there are some minor taste and character issues. 9 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ EFFECTS (The effects are wonderful.)
+ CHARACTERS (Most characters are interesting.)
+ STORY (The idea of man-eating sheep is clever and unique.)
+ DARK HUMOR (It's full of dark humor.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- TASTE (There are elements in it Voltron would rather unwatch if he could.)
- CHARACTER ISSUES (There are minor character issues.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If this is not your kind of movie, then I can't recommend it.)
